Producing a decent variety of emails, and in a relatively short space of time, can get very hard without some sensible ways to come up with content. You can’t just bash out any old rubbish and expect it to work. You need consistently high-quality copy that keeps Sam engaged; and, ultimately, convinces him about the quality of your character and of your offering.
This being so, here are a dozen different types of emails that have worked well for me. Since the success of any email starts with the subject line, I’ll be using some example subject lines to illustrate the basic premise of each email type. You can click on each example to see a “swipe file” with the full email, and get a better idea of how the copy plays out. Many of the examples could fit into more than one category — and that’s okay.
